Community-engaged research at ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø refers to community-led research that works for the common good. It involves community in decisions about what should be researched, and the design of that research. As such, ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø invites communities to shape ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø's research agenda. Community-engaged research adopts research methodologies that prioritise collaboration with communities in ways that centre community voice and community participation throughout the research lifecycle.

Stakeholder Engaged Scholarship Unit (SESU)

ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø's community-engaged research seeks to explore critical social justice issues identified by communities and achieve positive social, cultural, economic and political outcomes. ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø's community-engaged research also interrogates issues of Catholic identity with Catholic partners who are committed to advancing their Catholic mission and ethos.

The SESU is the flagship program of community-engaged research at ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø. It provides scholarly expertise and research assistance to organisations working in areas that are central to ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø's mission and ethos as a Catholic university. Through the facilitation of partner-initiated research projects, the SESU can help inform, shape, evaluate and develop your programs and services.
