ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø

The MOU is a document of general intent and outlines mutually agreed terms of engagement between ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø and the partner institution. The MOU is a precursor to specific legally binding agreements such as the Staff or Student Exchange Agreement.

ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø has student exchange partnerships with over 80 universities around the world. Through these arrangements, ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø students can study overseas for up to one year during their ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø degree and gain full credit upon their return to ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø. Students from official partner universities are nominated by their home university and they can study at ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø as non-award students for 1 or 2 semesters. Exchange students are exempt from paying tuition fees at the host institution.

Study Abroad partnerships are designed to allow international students to study on a fee-paying basis for 1 or 2 semesters at ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø. ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø welcomes fee-paying study abroad students from a group of partner institutions each semester. Individual students from non-partner institutions are also encouraged to apply. These students enrol at ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø in non-award studies and return to their home institutions with credit after completion of their studies.

Some ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø partners accept ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø students for Short Term Programs of Study (2-6 weeks in length) during the ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø semester breaks in winter or summer. Through these programs, ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø students are able to study abroad even if they are unable to go on a full semester exchange. ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø welcomes study tour groups from partner institutions for short term periods. Activities may involve English classes, academic topics and tour observations in accordance with the field of expertise of the students.

ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø welcomes individual students and students from partner institutions into our English language courses in both Academic English and Professional English.

ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø gives students the opportunity to apply the theory and skills they gained while studying at ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø in a professional workplace by establishing student placement partnerships with local and overseas institutions. Placements can be a clinical placement, practicum, internship or any other form of professional, industrial or vocational experience included in a course or required for a program.

ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø offers students the opportunity to study one University Core Curriculum unit at some partner institutions overseas. These options currently include studying in Florence, Paris and London.

Community engagement is a key part of a student's education at ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø. Through our community engagement programs, ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø students have the opportunity to widen their horizons, gain new skills and experiences, improve their resume and make a difference in the wider community, at local and overseas partners.

ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø has articulation links with a range of universities, colleges and other education institutions in Australia and overseas.

Under an offshore teaching arrangement, ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø courses may be delivered to students at an international partner institution with support provided by ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø academic staff. In some circumstances, students may transfer to an ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø campus in Australia after successful completion of studies at the partner institution.

ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø gives academic and administrative staff members the opportunity to engage in an exchange activity at a partner institution and vice versa.

ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø cooperates with other local and overseas institutions in an innovation-based relationship that involves a significant effort in research and development.
