Gender-based violence is never okay. All students, staff and visitors have the right to feel safe and respected at ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø, and we will not tolerate any forms of gender-based violence or harmful behaviour.

If you have experienced or witnessed any type of gender-based violence at ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø, or been made to feel uncomfortable, frightened, intimidated or threatened, we're here to help, regardless of where and when this happened.

We offer a range of free and confidential support services, from counselling to medical help to impartial advice on the university's reporting process.

If you are unable to find a service right for you, please email the ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø Safeguarding and Student Safety Team at respectandsafety@acu.edu.au or speak to your local ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø Safety Support Officer.

ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø Counselling

If students have experienced sexual assault or sexual harassment, or just need someone to talk to, we offer free counselling. All our counsellors are social workers or psychologists with counselling and mental health experience.

We have dedicated staff members who are trained in receiving disclosures from students and supporting those students through the ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø processes. Safety Support Officers can also support staff who are helping students through a disclosure.

This service can help students navigate university policies and procedures, as well as help them submit a formal report to the university.

ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø Campus Ministry

Our Campus Ministry staff provide pastoral care and wellbeing support to students and staff. Talk with a pastoral associate on your campus.

ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø International

If you are an international student and prefer to speak with someone who understands your specific needs, contact your International Student Adviser.

Acacia EAP

Our staff provides counselling and health and wellbeing resources to help staff and their immediate family proactively enhance wellbeing.
